Stages of Development

Old Brompton Road

Old Brompton Road was a tired looking, one bedroom flat in Chelsea. The property was dark and its low ceilings made it feel very closed in and claustrophobic, however it had access to a private roof terrace and great views giving it lots of potential.

First of all we added a stud wall in the front room to create a second bedroom, whilst at the same time, leaving enough space to make decent size living area where you could sit and relax or watch TV.

We also added a lot of lighting to help open the space up.

The Kitchen

One of the key features of most properties is the kitchen. In this property the kitchen was dark and cramped with a low ceiling, so we decided to open it up, raise the height of the ceiling and add a large worktop that could also be used as a breakfast bar, but keeping all the appliances integrated to reduce clutter.
